With guidance from Patty Roberts, students will learn about the infinite possibilities of abstract artmaking as they create a pair of paintings using the combination of cold wax and oil paint. With creativity guiding the way, students will learn to work more freely as they play with color combinations and composition, practice layering and mark making techniques, and use a series of tools to experiment with surface texture. This intuitive style of painting will allow students to put perfectionist ideals aside and let whatever happens on the paper be part of the fun! All skill levels are welcome, including beginners.
