Beginners to Advanced (minimum students 4, maximum 8)

8 TUESDAYS: January 7, 14, 21, 28, February 4, 11, 18, 25 1-4 pm ET
$161.50 member, $190 non-member +clay $25/25# + $25 tools.
For hand building and wheel students with any level of experience. Work may be functional or sculptural. We will explore the unique properties of clay, the aesthetics of form, handles, lids, spouts, decorating techniques, glaze application, cone 6 glaze mixing, and the loading and firing of electric kilns. Raku firings can be included if there is interest. All classes use stoneware clay fired to cone 6 with food safe glazes in an electric kiln. Students may bring their own tools or purchase a kit for $25. All students are required to purchase clay from us at $25 for 25 pounds which includes glaze and firing fees.
Double your class hours with any combination of up to 8 supervised open studios on Saturdays 9:30-12:30, Tuesdays 10-1, Thursdays 10-1 or Friday nights 5-8 pm, January 7- March 1.
